On December 24, 2024, the freeze-dried mRNA respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine NR2222 independently developed by Nameixin (Shanghai) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Nameixin") obtained the implied license for clinical trial from the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of the National Medical Products Administration of China (acceptance number: CXSL2400681), successfully entering the clinical trial stage.

The freeze-dried RSV mRNA vaccine declared this time is a representative pipeline product of Nameixin. Through the design and optimization such as adding specific amino acid sequences, the product enhances the immunogenicity and structural stability of the preF antigen; this product is currently the first mRNA RSV variety in freeze-dried dosage form approved for clinical trial. It has improved the problem of the liquid injection dosage form of mRNA vaccines approved for marketing at home and abroad, which has poor thermal stability and requires storage and transportation under low-temperature/ultra-low-temperature conditions. It is expected to be stably stored at 2-8°C for a long time, greatly improving the accessibility of the product.
About Nameixin
Nameixin was established in May 2021, focusing on the research and development of new vaccines/drugs in the field of mRNA-related technologies. The founding team of the company is one of the earliest scientists who carried out research and development work in the field of mRNA at home and abroad. They have held important positions in top medical research institutions and pharmaceutical companies at home and abroad and truly master the core know-how in the field of mRNA.
